who is she 👀
i’m a designer based in southern california. my role has expanded from web design to working with visual design systems across many brand touch points. i’m often curious about creating and building projects from start to finish, typically spiralling into a learning hole. my best friends are chrome dev tools, youtube university, and design communities SuperHi and Posts.cv.
while i’m not doing research on awwwards, I’m hanging out in discord, reading, walking, running, hiking with my smol family, and nosily poking through Brodinski’s playlists.
rulers, grids, lines—oh my!
what informs my design? this question has stuck with me since i watched a talk by eric hu. while redesigning this portfolio, i was finally able to answer this question.
it started in 7th grade when i learned to draw perspective. i absolutely loved straight lines and my straight edge and my circle stencil. i’ve always loved the visual satisfaction of creating order and showing logic through lines.
minimalism conveys an idea in its purest and simplest form—like a sketch thats been drawn over with line art. this is why my writing often sounds like i’m writing a technical spec sheet and it’s probably why i came to like swiss design.
